Many surgeons will see this small pupil and immediate ask for a pupil expansion ring or iris hooks and that is perfectly fine. However as you have seen many times before on CataractCoach, this is not that small of a pupil and you can still perform the cataract surgery safely and efficiently without pupil expansion devices.
