In this video our guest surgeon implants the new iStent MIGS glaucoma device and shows us how he verifies proper outflow at the end of the case. The MIGS device is helping to improve aqueous outflow with a bypass of the trabeculum. We could inject a dye like Trypan blue to help visualize this, but an even easier solution is to simply inject balanced salt solution. This will then cause temporary blanching of these epi-scleral vessels as the intra-ocular pressure is increased and the BSS flows out.
