This video features some challenges that I faced during capsulorhexis creation in seemingly routine cataract cases. Yes, even experts with tens of thousands of cases of experience can still encounter challenges, usually due to patient anatomy. This video shows how to handle these challenges and still end up with a great outcome. A total of 5 cases where 2 are normal and easy but 3 give me some challenges. Just the capsulorhexis creation is shown along with the end of the case clip to show the position of the IOL optic with regards to the capsular opening.
