This is a fun video where I give the commentary while watching it for the first time. The case is tough with a relatively dense cataract and a small pupil. The surgeon completes this case without the use of iris hooks or a pupil expansion ring and I would do the same. However, if you have done less than a few thousand cataract surgeries, then I would not recommend this technique for you. Watch the video to see what I mean.
