This patient sustained severe ocular trauma that resulted in loss of more than 180 degrees of zonular support. He has a traumatic cataract but also the lens equator is unsupported for 7 clock hours. Doing this cataract surgery is a challenge. This video goes through the steps to succeed. While the video has been edited down to 5 minutes, remember that even in expert hands this case would take about 30 minutes.
