1164: routine phaco chop complete case

From our Complete Cataract Case series, this is a video of a routine phaco chop case. It is not cherry picked as my best case of the day, but rather it is a video that shows a bit of a struggle with cortex removal due to insufficient hydro-dissection earlier in the procedure. The key for chop is complete separation of the two hemi-nuclear pieces so that each can then be subdivided and emulsified.

  1. Please my name is Esther from Ghana. I’ve been watching your videos and I really love them. I have a 3year old girl with cataract on both eyes and doctors says she needs to be operated but I’m super scared that maybe my daughter will loose her eyes in the long run. Please what should I do????
