This intumescent white cataract case becomes even more challenging when the IOL was misloaded by the surgical tech and the trailing haptic is torn off during lens insertion. And the patient has a posterior capsulorhexis so there is the danger of the IOL falling into the vitreous. Our guest surgeon does a great job of rescuing the case, performing an IOL exchange and producing a good visual outcome for the patient.
