iris claw lens to address aphakia

Another excellent video from our colleague Dr. Val Apostolov from Amsterdam. In this case there is a patient with a dislocation of the entire IOL+capsular bag complex due to severe, progressive zonulopathy. The dislocated IOL is removed and an anterior vitrectomy is performed. To address the aphakia, an iris claw lens is used. This is placed in front of the iris and securely fixated to the iris with enclavation of the iris stroma into the claw openings of the IOL.
