Complete Case: Propagate the Chop

Another video in our Complete Cataract Case series where we show you an entire surgery from start to finish. This video emphasizes the important surgical pearl to fully propagate the chop to achieve two separated hemi-nuclear pieces. This makes removing and sub-chopping a hemi-nucleus much eaiser. It requires a few repeated movements where the chopper pulls one way while the phaco tip pushes in the opposite direction. We also show the method used to precisely center the diffractive trifocal optic.

At the end of this case, we ensure centration of the diffractive rings on the Trifocal IOL (Alcon PanOptix).
