Today (video 611) and tomorrow (video 616) are the two eyes of the same patient who has pseudo-exfoliation syndrome and a poorly dilating pupil. For this eye we perform the surgery using a technique where the nucleus is chopped within the capsular bag. For tomorrow’s video, we will show the supra-capsular technique of prolapsing the nucleus out of the capsular bag and chopping it at the iris plane. Which technique do you like better? Watch this video and then check back tomorrow for the other.
