Aren’t some IOLs truly biconvex where orientation does not matter?
Also need to consider if IOL has angulated haptics. If a planar IOL that is truly biconvex is inverted, it may not have much of a difference in dioptric effect, but it is still not ideal given that the manufacturer has likely specified a particular orientation

Maybe. Put your glasses on backwards. You’ll see there is a difference. Just implant it correctly and there is nothing to worry about.
