Kevin M. Miller MD is a world-renowned cataract surgeon at UCLA’s Jules Stein Eye Institute and he was an instrumental professor in my ophthalmic education two decades ago. He has a twenty year history of using artificial iris implants to help restore ocular anatomy and function after trauma. His latest techniques use the HumanOptics Artificial Iris and he has a technique that really assists in blending the new prosthetic iris with the remnants of the human iris. The results are great and look completely realistic.
