Today we have a guest surgeon, Dr Carlos Yuji Nunomura from Brazil, who is demonstrating cataract surgery in an eye with lattice corneal dystrophy. Doing cataract surgery first and then assessing the visual outcome before considering corneal surgery is a good approach. This cataract surgery is more challenging because the corneal opacities make visualization more difficult.
