CataractCoach.com was launched in May and we have kept up with the goal of posting a new teaching article / video every day, including Saturdays and Sundays. We are now at 50 articles, each featuring original content such as articles, pictures, figures, and videos.
Most of the articles are directly related to cataract surgery and are posted on weekdays, Monday through Friday. Then on the weekends we try to feature topics that bring additional value such as patient discussions, informed consent process, and even selecting your first job.
CataractCoach.com is aimed at the full spectrum of ophthalmologists, from the novice surgeons to the experienced experts. We are looking to grow and to better serve our audience. If you have an idea for a future topic, please contact me and make a suggestion. We will be starting a weekly review of anonymously submitted cataract surgery videos to see how we can improve.
We encourage you to submit your video — see the instructions here.

Hello Dr Devgan and team…
Might you have a chart or summary sharing the +’s an -‘s of each phaco technique. Maybe with basic pearls, watch outs, and situations where each technique would work optimally.
I work in the industry as I have for 26 years. I work with BVI Medical I am doing some clinical training for a group of mobile cataract surgical technicians and will be sharing several of your videos as part of the training.
If you have any such chart or summary you can share I would appreciate it. I did not find such a chart in searching the website….Thanks for the site by the way….It is outstanding.
My email is mdiethelm@bvimedical.com if you have anything you can send.
Thank you for your time and consideration….
