Our guest surgeon does a great job with this very tough case. The patient sustained severe ocular trauma and now presents to you with corneal failure, aphakia, corectopia, and even macular edema. The idea is to suture an IOL with four haptics (eyelets) using a single loop of 8-0 Gore-tex suture to the sclera and then perform a pupilloplasty and then a DMEK lamellar corneal transplantation procedure. Total anterior segment reconstruction! Truly a great surgeon and so much to learn from this video. The only upgrade that I would make is to bury the 8-0 Gore-tex within the sclera instead of leaving it sitting under the conjunctiva. What is your take of this surgical procedure?
