2353: MSICS with a traction suture

I have long extolled the virtues of learning to perform MSICS, manual shelved incision cataract surgery, because it proves to be very useful in certain cases even for the most advanced phaco surgeons. In this video our guest surgeon does a great job performing MSICS with an incision that is constructed in a manner to be self-sealing and sutureless. While there is a traction suture used during the suture, it is, of course, removed at the end of the case. Even in our Beverly Hills surgery center, I find myself using the MSICS technique at least a few times per year. If you are just starting to learn this technique, I have a helpful video with best best pearls here.
