Yesterday’s CataractCoach Podcast featured Dr Chris Teng from Yale University where we talked about surgical scope, entrepreneurship, and complex anterior segment cases. If you are not listening to our podcast series then you are really missing out. The podcast has a single goal: to give you the secrets of success in your career. Please check it out and then thank me later 🙂 Today, this is the video that he submitted of a challenging situation. This patient has a history of pseudo-exfoliation and underwent a routine cataract surgery years ago. Now there is significant pseudo-phacodonesis with the entire IOL+capsular bag complex being very mobile – so much so that it hits the posterior surface of the iris and has induced UGH syndrome. Dr Teng shows us how he addresses this challenging situation by stabilizing the IOL and then performing a MIGS procedure.
