2525: resident case 50 in a nonagenarian

When we operate on patients who are in their nineties (nonagenarians), things can be different because the tissues are weaker while the cataracts can be denser. Our guest resident surgeon does case 50 in today’s video and while there are some challenges, the skillset is quite good for so early in the learning curve. Keep in mind that this video in realtime is 30 minutes long, so we present the video today at 4x speed so we can get through it efficiently. What are your helpful pearls and suggestions for this young surgeon in training? Please comment below.
