3003: Hoffman Pocket for Carlevale IOL
In this surgical video, a Hoffman pocket technique is demonstrated for the fixation of a Carlevale intraocular lens (IOL). This sophisticated approach allows for the creation of scleral pockets to anchor the lens haptics securely without requiring any sutures. While the Carlevale lens is an excellent design option for secondary IOL fixation in eyes lacking adequate capsular support, it is unfortunately not yet available in the United States.
