This patient had cataract surgery about 2 months ago and when the original surgeon was removing the cataract, zonulopathy was noted. The original surgeon elected to leave the patient aphakic with an intact capsular bag and then refer the patient to you for IOL implantation. Now this patient presents to you with this picture. A small looking capsulorhexis (even though the referring surgeon said the capsulorhexis was about 5 mm in diameter at the time of the original surgery) with some evidence of fibrosis. What is your plan to secure an IOL in this eye?
