The first time I heard of the GATT (Gonioscopy-Assisted Transluminal Trabeculotomy) technique was about 10 years ago from the work of Devinder Grover MD and I was impressed. This technique is very low cost with very high efficacy. It uses a 6-0 polypropylene suture to cannulate Schlemm’s canal for a full 360 degrees which is then removed by opening up the trabecular meshwork. In this video our guest surgeon performs both phaco (which itself helps to lower the intra-ocular pressure) and then GATT. Great technique and easy to learn.
