This patient had complications during cataract surgery which resulted in a ruptured posterior capsule, retained lens fragments, and the IOL displaced into the vitreous cavity. Our guest surgeon does a great job of addressing everything: pars plana vitrectomy and lensectomy, removal of the dislocated IOL using the extrusion cannula to levitate it, scleral fixated IOL using the glued technique, and finally a pupilloplasty. The result is fantastic — this is a really fun video to watch.
