2208: reverse soft shell OVD technique

Our guest surgeon says that this technique has a 100% success rate in preventing the Argentinian Flag Sign of capsular run-out with intumescent white cataracts. Sounds great — please teach me! The technique is a reverse soft shell OVD technique where a dispersive viscoelastic is placed on the central lens capsule and then aliquots of a cohesive viscoelastic are used to flatten the peripheral lens capsule for a full 360 degrees. Then a double capsulorhexis technique is done to help decompress the capsular bag and the result looks good. Have you tried this technique? Do you think this will give you a perfect 100% success rate in these tricky intumescent white cataracts? Please comment below
