1222: traumatic cataract capsule fibrosis

Our guest surgeon has a very interesting case to share. This patient sustained a traumatic injury many years ago and now has a high degree of capsule scarring. Fibrotic changes to the lens proteins have created numerous strong adhesions to the anterior capsule and this will make capsulorhexis creation very challenging. The case goes beautifully and there are some important pearls to learn about the surgical management of these types of traumatic cataracts.
