Fibrotic Dense White Cataract

This patient developed a white cataract years ago and was unable to seek treatment for a prolonged period of time. This caused some of the cortex to become liquefied while other lens proteins became fibrotic and adherent to the lens capsule. Our guest surgeon is Dr Himani Goyal from New York City, and she demonstrates an innovative technique of using small gauge retina scissors to help create the capsulorhexis. But there is more adherent lens material causing persistent opacities elsewhere in the capsular bag — how should you manage these?
