CTR Technique with less capsular stress

We have featured prior videos about insertion of capsular tension rings (CTRs) during cataract surgery. These devices can be very helpful in cases of zonular weakness or absence, particularly if it is just sectoral. An anonymous surgeon provided a video showing an alternate technique: a Sinskey hook is used to engage the leading eyelet of the CTR and then it is placed in the capsular bag in a less stressful manner. There is no need to thread the CTR around the capsular bag equator since it can be placed at once.
